Overview
The Sniffer4D Nano2+ TDLAS Methane is a dedicated version of the Nano2+ equipped with a multi-pass TDLAS gas chamber (Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy) for methane detection. Unlike MetScan (remote sensing), the Nano2+ TDLAS performs direct measurement within the gas chamber with high resolution.
This product is a complete standalone device (not an add-on module) designed for methane screening missions in combination with the standard Sniffer4D Nano2+.
Key Features
- Multi-pass TDLAS technology — Selective methane measurement in the integrated gas chamber
- High resolution — Precise detection of methane concentrations
- Complete device — Standalone dedicated unit, not a module for the standard Nano2+
- AIRINS.ai platform — Flight data visualization and mapping
Drone Compatibility
- DJI Matrice 4D / 4TD — Direct E-Port connection (native)
- DJI Matrice 4E / 4T — M4E/4T integration kit (€300)
- DJI Matrice 400 — M400 integration kit (€387)

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Nano2+ TDLAS Methane an add-on module for the standard Nano2+?
No. The Nano2+ TDLAS Methane is a complete standalone device, separate from the standard Sniffer4D Nano2+. It is not a module that can be added to an existing Nano2+.
What is the difference with MetScan V1?
The Nano2+ TDLAS measures methane directly in its integrated gas chamber (contact measurement). The MetScan V1 is a remote sensing system that detects methane at a distance without contact. For precise leak localization on pipelines, MetScan is recommended. For screening and concentration mapping, the Nano2+ TDLAS is suitable.
Is the Nano2+ TDLAS compatible with DJI Dock 3?
The Nano2+ TDLAS is compatible with the Matrice 4D/4TD (direct E-Port connection). For autonomous Dock 3 methane detection missions, the MetScan Nano 1 is the recommended product (available Q2 2026).
