Presentation
The MetScan V1 is a drone-based methane detection and mapping system, using TDLAS (Tunable Diode Laser Spectroscopy) technology. Unlike conventional electrochemical sensors, the MetScan offers remote detection with precise location of emission sources.
Designed for LDAR (Leak Detection and Repair) inspections of pipelines and gas installations, it meets the requirements of the EU Methane Regulation and OGMP 2.0.
Modes of operation
- Belt Scan — Linear flyover of pipelines with continuous detection. Fast coverage of long distances.
- Facility Scan — 3D screening of industrial plants with location of hotspots.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the MetScan V1 and the Sniffer4D TDLAS?
The MetScan V1 is a remote sensing system that precisely locates leak sources. The Sniffer4D TDLAS is an on-board sensor that measures the concentration of methane in the air through which the drone passes. The MetScan is ideal for leak localization (LDAR), while the Sniffer4D TDLAS is suitable for rapid screening of large areas.
Is the MetScan compliant with the EU Methane Regulation?
Yes, the MetScan V1 combined with AIRINS.ai produces reports that comply with the requirements of the European Methane Regulation and OGMP 2.0 standards for leak detection and quantification.
What is the difference between Ultra and Standard?
The Ultra plan gives access to all the features AIRINS.ai, including 3D visualization, Sector Scan, GeoJSON/Shapefile exports and on-prem deployment. The Standard plan covers the essential features for LDAR inspections. A Standard → Ultra upgrade is possible at any time.
Can it detect gases other than methane?
The MetScan V1 specializes in the detection of methane (CH₄). For multi-gas detection, check out the Sniffer4D Mini2 or Nano2+.
Is there a version for DJI Matrice 4D?
Yes! The MetScan Nano 1, a compact version optimized for the DJI Matrice 4D/4TD and Dock 3, will be available in Q2 2026. Contact us to be informed of its availability.
Is DPC an authorized AIRINS reseller?

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between MetScan V1 Ultra and Standard?
The Ultra offers 3D, Sector Scan, GIS exports and on-prem. The Standard is limited to 2D and Belt Scan. The Ultra is also available as a quarterly subscription.
How does the MetScan subscription work?
Refundable deposit €5,000 + €3,000/quarter (200 km included) + €15/km beyond that. No annual commitment.
Which drones is the MetScan V1 mounted on?
DJI Matrice 400 (recommended) and M350 RTK. The M400 allows you to combine MetScan + Nano2+.
Is there a DJI Dock 3 compatible MetScan?
Yes: the MetScan Nano 1, available Q2 2026, M4D/4TD and Dock 3 compatible for autonomous LDAR missions.
