Speedip V2+ — Water Sampling by PFAS-Ready Drone

The Speedip V2+ is an airborne water sampling system developed by AIRINS (formerly Soarability). It allows water samples to be collected safely, quickly and accurately in hard-to-reach areas: lakes, rivers, retention basins, industrial sites, contaminated areas.

PFAS-Ready — Laboratory Validated

The stainless steel containers of the Speedip V2+ are specially designed for the sampling of PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances). Each batch undergoes third-party testing for PFAS leaching and adsorption at the ppt (parts per trillion) level, ensuring reliable analytical results.

Typical Workflow

1. Planning : Define Pickup Points in DJI Pilot 2 (Waypoint Mission)
2. Takeoff : The drone automatically flies to the sampling point
3. Descent : Controlled descent of the cable and container to the surface of the water
4. Picking : Filling of the container with visual tracking via 180° night camera
5. Lifting : Cable monitoring with tangle detection and emergency cutting if necessary
6. Return : The drone returns to base with the sample for laboratory analysis

Frequently asked questions

Is the Speedip V2+ certified for PFAS sampling?

Yes, the stainless steel containers of the Speedip V2+ have been validated in the laboratory for the collection of water samples for PFAS analysis (ppt level). The stainless steel material prevents cross-contamination.

What is the difference between the M400 and M350 version?

The M400 version uses a 2L PMMA container (included) and an M400 integration kit (€5,700 in Standard, €6,600 in PFAS-Ready). The M350 version uses a 1.1L PMMA container (included) and an M350/M300 kit (€5,250 in Standard, €6,150 in PFAS-Ready). Both versions are PFAS-Ready with stainless steel container option. The accessories are not interchangeable between the two versions.

What happens if the cable gets tangled?

The Speedip V2+ is equipped with a real-time cable monitoring system. If tangle is detected, an emergency cutting mechanism automatically separates the container to protect the drone.

Can I schedule direct debit missions?

Yes, waypoint missions are programmed through DJI Pilot 2. The drone automatically flies to each sampling point. The lowering and raising of the container is then controlled by the operator.

What type of analyses can be done with the samples taken?

Samples collected by the Speedip V2+ can be analyzed in the laboratory for: PFAS, heavy metals, bacteriological quality, pH, conductivity, etc. The validity of the sample depends on the choice of container (standard PMMA or PFAS stainless steel).
