From raw data to a ready-to-use deliverable

Delivery formats

Processing in DJI Terra generates orthophotos and digital surface models (DSM) in GeoTIFF format (UTM projection), as well as point clouds (photogrammetric or colorized LiDAR) exportable in LAS format.

GIS and CAD compatibility

These deliverables are compatible with AutoCAD, QGIS, ArcGIS and Agisoft Metashape. Zenmuse P1 datasets can also be processed with Pix4D alongside DJI Terra.

DJI Terra licence

The Belgian advantage: free RTK, workshop and Benelux delivery

Belgium offers a major advantage to drone surveying professionals: two free RTK correction networks cover the entire territory. Walcors is managed by the SPW in Wallonia, while Flepos is operated by Digitaal Vlaanderen in Flanders. The DJI Cellular Dongle 2, included in the Surveying Pack, connects the drone to these networks in real time via 4G, with no additional subscription.

A dual RTK approach, even without network coverage

In areas with poor mobile coverage, the D-RTK 3 Multifunctional Station (included in the Surveying Pack with its mast/tripod kit) takes over and provides local RTK corrections autonomously. You therefore have both a wireless NTRIP solution (Walcors / Flepos) and a base RTK station as backup, a useful continuity in rural areas with poor 4G coverage. DJI Care Enterprise Plus

The DJI Matrice 4E Surveying Pack includes 1 year of DJI Care Enterprise Plus, renewable twice (up to 3 years of coverage). Renewal for the Matrice 4E is offered at 599 EUR. DJI Care Enterprise Plus is also available for the Matrice 400 RTK and its gimbals.

Annual DJI maintenance

The DJI Maintenance Standard plan (492 EUR for the Matrice 4E) includes a detailed 8-point inspection, deep cleaning, a full update and calibration, and replacement of commonly worn parts, with an official DJI maintenance report.

What real-world precision can be achieved in RTK Fix?

The integrated RTK module of the DJI Matrice 4E and the DJI Matrice 400 RTK reaches, in RTK Fix mode, a precision of 1 cm + 1 ppm horizontal and 1.5 cm + 1 ppm vertical. In the field, the Matrice 400 RTK + Zenmuse P1 kit combines this RTK with TimeSync 2.0 synchronization for an overall precision without ground control points of 3 cm horizontal and 5 cm vertical. Do I need ground control points (GCPs)?

No, not for most missions. Thanks to RTK Fix, connected to the free Walcors and Flepos networks via the Cellular Dongle 2 (or a D-RTK 3 station in poorly covered rural areas), your surveys are georeferenced directly without ground control points. The Matrice 400 RTK + Zenmuse P1 kit confirms this GCP-free workflow thanks to RTK combined with TimeSync 2.0 synchronization.

Photogrammetry or LiDAR for wooded terrain or dense vegetation?

LiDAR. Photogrammetry only reconstructs surfaces visible from the air, so the canopy in a forest. The Zenmuse L3, thanks to a smaller laser spot and support for 16 returns, penetrates dense vegetation to capture ground points with unmatched completeness, essential for terrain modeling in forested environments.

What formats and software for integration into my GIS or CAD?

Your point clouds are exported in LAS format, your orthophotos and digital surface models in GeoTIFF format. These deliverables are compatible with AutoCAD, QGIS, ArcGIS and Agisoft Metashape. Datasets from the Zenmuse P1 can also be processed with Pix4D.

Which DJI Terra licence should I choose?

DJI Terra Standard covers 2D/3D photogrammetry, orthophotos, digital surface models and LiDAR processing: it meets the needs of most surveyors or engineering firms. DJI Terra Flagship adds Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) reconstruction and the Electricity Application module for detailed power line modeling. Is the D-RTK 3 station essential if I’m already covered by Walcors or Flepos?

The D-RTK 3 Multifunctional Station remains recommended as a backup for rural areas with poor mobile coverage; it is included with its mast/tripod kit in the DJI Matrice 4E Surveying Pack.
