Who is this for?
This solution is designed for organizations that operate or maintain power generation and transmission assets, with a recurring need for thermal and visual inspection of their infrastructure.
Photovoltaic farm operators
The radiometric thermal camera on the DJI Matrice 4T detects faulty cells, hotspots and string connection issues, covering large panel surfaces in record time. Regular inspection enables proactive farm maintenance.
Wind farm operators
The 34x optical and 400x digital zoom of the Zenmuse H30T inspects the condition of blades, nacelle and tower from a safe distance, without a cherry picker or rope access. The DJI Matrice 400 RTK’s ship take-off and landing capability also opens the way to offshore wind turbine inspection.
Grid and HV line managers
The Matrice 400 RTK’s rotating LiDAR and mmWave radar obstacle avoidance system automatically detects and avoids thin obstacles such as high-voltage power lines, including at night. Combined with the H30T’s 3,000 m laser rangefinder, it allows safe inspection of insulators, pylons and cables.
The 2 recommended configurations
The choice of configuration depends on the type of asset to inspect: proximity and surface coverage for photovoltaic, safety distance and long-range zoom for wind turbines and high-voltage lines.

New: the DJI AP100 parachute is a game changer for Matrice 400 operations. C6-certified, it deploys automatically in 600 ms and brings the drone down at under 5 m/s: a decisive advantage for flights over sensitive sites. Available in September, it can already be pre-ordered (1,199 EUR).
From radiometric capture to report
1. In-flight radiometric capture
The pilot plans and flies the mission from DJI Pilot 2. The radiometric thermal camera records a usable temperature value for every pixel of the image, not just a color palette.
2. Data processing
DJI Terra Standard processes 2D/3D photogrammetry, orthophotos and LiDAR point clouds. For detailed power line modeling, DJI Terra Flagship adds the Electricity Application module.
3. Supervision and archiving
DJI FlightHub 2 centralizes mission planning and data archiving. Your technical teams or engineering firms then draft the inspection report from the radiometric data and generated models.
Automated recurring inspections
For periodic, scheduled monitoring of multiple solar farms or grid sections, our Dock 3 solution automates unpiloted drone deployment on site: inspection rounds at scheduled intervals on power lines, solar panels, pipelines and wind turbines, with automatic archiving of results in DJI FlightHub 2.

Services: continuity and skills development
DJI Care Enterprise Plus
Inspection missions near structures (moving blades, pylons, rooftops) expose equipment to a higher risk of accidental damage. DJI Care Enterprise Plus covers accidental drone damage for 12 months, with return shipping included. For the Matrice 4T, renewal is offered at 739 EUR incl. VAT; the option is also available for the Matrice 400 RTK and the Zenmuse H30T.
Annual DJI maintenance
The DJI Maintenance Standard package includes a detailed 8-point inspection, deep cleaning, a firmware update and full calibration, plus replacement of common wear parts, with an official DJI maintenance report.
Pack Zen Plus: operational continuity
Drone Parts Center is the only reseller in Belgium to offer a courtesy loan unit for the entire duration of a repair, in addition to on-site training and unlimited support for 2 years. A valuable continuity guarantee when your inspections are scheduled at regular intervals.
Training for your technicians
Our product training sessions take place on-site at our Nivelles workshop, delivered by a DJI-certified instructor: FlightHub 2 onboarding (Level 1), advanced configuration and automated missions (Level 2), or dedicated training on the Matrice 4E for photogrammetry. For obtaining a remote pilot licence (theory and practice), we refer your teams to our partner École du Drone.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. The thermal cameras on the Matrice 4T and the Zenmuse H30T are radiometric: every pixel of the image records a usable temperature value, not just a color palette. This allows you to quantify a temperature difference on a cell or module, not just spot it visually.
The Matrice 4T carries a 640×512 px thermal camera and a 112x hybrid zoom, sufficient for most close-range solar panel inspections. The Matrice 400 RTK + H30T kit adds a 34x optical / 400x digital zoom, a 1,280×1,024 px thermal camera and a LiDAR obstacle avoidance system, required for inspecting moving wind turbine blades or high-voltage lines from a safe distance.
Yes, up to 10 times faster than a manual ground inspection, with safe access to hard-to-reach areas (hangar roofs, pylons, elevated blades) and an estimated cost reduction of 70% compared to a cherry picker or scaffolding inspection.
Yes. The DJI Matrice 400 RTK integrates a rotating LiDAR and millimeter-wave radar obstacle avoidance system, capable of automatically detecting and avoiding obstacles as thin as high-voltage power lines, including in the dark. The Zenmuse H30T’s 400x zoom additionally allows insulators and connectors to be inspected from a safe distance.
Flights near critical infrastructure most often fall under the specific category of European EASA regulation, requiring authorization based on a SORA risk assessment. Drone Parts Center supports its private clients through the complete process, from initial assessment to obtaining authorization.
Data is processed with DJI Terra (photogrammetry, orthophotos, LiDAR modeling, Electricity Application module for power lines in the Flagship version) and centralized in DJI FlightHub 2. The final inspection report remains drafted by your technical teams or engineering firms, based on this data.
