Drone-in-the-Box: DJI Dock stations for automated missions
Two current DJI stations, chosen according to the site and the mission. The DJI Dock 4 swaps the battery of the DJI Matrice 5TD in under 25 seconds and sends the drone back out less than 45 seconds after landing, according to DJI. The DJI Dock 3, lighter and less power-hungry, has built-in RTK and a backup battery, and works with the Matrice 4TD or the Matrice 4D. Both are operated from DJI FlightHub 2.

Both stations are in our range and will stay there. The DJI Dock 4 targets fast turnarounds and extreme cold. The DJI Dock 3 needs a lighter power supply, has built-in RTK and a backup battery, and works with either the Matrice 4TD or the Matrice 4D.

DJI data (DJI Dock 4 launch presentation, October 2026). The concrete base and mounting points of a DJI Dock 3 can be reused for a DJI Dock 4.
Use cases
Drone as First Responder (DFR)
The drone takes off as soon as the alert comes in and streams live thermal imagery to decision-makers. With the DJI Dock 4, the battery is swapped in under 25 seconds between missions. Police and emergency services: the Belgian circular of 17 July 2026 places these systems in the DIBS category and gives the system supplier responsibility for training.

Site surveillance
Scheduled patrols, remote alarm verification, perimeter inspection, construction progress monitoring. For private operators, beyond visual line of sight flights fall under the specific category and require an authorisation (SORA assessment). Drone Parts Center supports you through the procedure.

DJI AS2D Speaker
120.5 dB at 1 m, 400 m range. Live or recorded voice broadcasting, text-to-speech in 7 languages (DJI FlightHub 2 public cloud). IP55.
DJI AL2D SpotLight
Spot and flood modules, 2.6 times brighter than the previous generation, lights up to 100 m. Strobe mode, gimbal follow. IP55. With the spotlight on, visual obstacle sensing is disabled.
DJI AP1 Parachute
For beyond visual line of sight flights: works with the drone's built-in Flight Termination System (FTS), triggered from DJI FlightHub 2 or by the FTS.
DJI O4 Ground Station
Relays the link with DJI FlightHub 2 above obstacles. Several stations extend coverage and the drone roams from one to the next. Runs 24/7 on low power.
DJI Cellular Dongle 2
Fitted on the DJI O4 Ground Station, it connects the station to the mobile network, so the dock can be deployed and operated remotely even without Ethernet.
