What’s in the bundle

• 1 DJI Dock 4 station
• 1 DJI Matrice 5TD drone, as a combo with the DJI O4 Ground Station
• The DJI AP1 parachute, preinstalled on the drone (European version)
• 4 DJI Matrice 5TD intelligent flight batteries (BPX340, 12,138 mAh)
• With the drone: one pair of propellers for each direction of rotation, the preinstalled microSD card and a tool kit; with the O4 Ground Station: USB-C cable, two Ethernet connectors, four expansion bolts, an installation card and a tool kit.

Not included: system installation and configuration, the DJI FlightHub 2 license, the DJI AL2D spotlight, the DJI AS2D speaker and the DJI Cellular Dongle 2. We quote these based on your project.

Why four batteries

The DJI Dock 4 battery swapping module has four compartments and stores up to three batteries. DJI therefore recommends four batteries per system, one in the drone and three in the dock, to fill every slot; at least three are needed for continuous operations with battery rotation. Each time the drone returns, the dock replaces its battery with a charged one.

What the system can do

• Scheduled or remotely triggered missions from DJI FlightHub 2, with no pilot on site.
• Multi-dock missions: takeoff from one dock and landing on another less than 15 km away, using RTK.
• Six-element gimbal with an infrared thermal camera and a laser rangefinder.
• Geo caging and flight termination system (FTS), with the DJI AP1 parachute preinstalled.
• Manned aircraft detection with DJI AirSense (ADS-B, 10 km radius).
• System connection to DJI FlightHub 2 through the DJI O4 Ground Station: Ethernet, or 4G with the DJI Cellular Dongle 2 fitted on the Ground Station.
• Battery swap in under 25 s, batteries kept at 95% to fly again immediately.
• Onboard AI detection of 17 target types and night vision with an RYYB telephoto and a near-infrared illuminator.

European classes

The DJI Matrice 5TD falls under class C6 when used with the DJI Dock 4, and class C5 with the DJI AP1 parachute. The class is a condition for the standard scenarios (C5 for STS-01, C6 for STS-02), not an authorization in itself: access also depends on the operator declaration, the remote pilot’s competency and the operations manual.

Installation, configuration and training

DJI requires the Dock 4 to be installed by an authorized service provider. Our technicians are DJI-certified on the Dock 2, Dock 3 and Dock Advanced. We handle the site survey, installation, configuration in DJI FlightHub 2 and team training, in Nivelles or at your site. Licenses: DJI FlightHub 2 Business or DJI FlightHub 2 On-Premises; training: getting started with FlightHub 2.

• Handling: 66 kg, two people to lift the dock; 0.41 m² footprint.
• Power: 100 to 240 V AC; plan for a supply of more than 2,200 W (maximum dock consumption: 2,000 W). The DJI Power 1000 mini is not supported.
• Network: PoE link of less than 80 m between the site router and the DJI O4 Ground Station, which also provides RTK, required for the Dock 4.
• Entry and exit route: during commissioning, the drone flies a square route around the dock and records its surroundings; this route then guides every take-off and return.

Compatible AIRINS gas sensors

The DJI Dock 4 and the DJI Matrice 5TD are compatible with two AIRINS sensors for gas detection on automated missions: the Sniffer4D Nano 2 Plus (multi-gas or methane) and the MetScan Nano 1D (remote methane detection, TDLAS laser). Details are given in our AIRINS and DJI compatibility table.
