Does the Matrice 4T replace the Mavic 3T?

Yes: the Matrice 4T is the successor to the Mavic 3T (the Mavic 3 Enterprise series is end of life), with a new generation of sensors, transmission and onboard intelligence.

Can the Matrice 4T be flown over populated areas?

The Matrice 4T is C2 certified. The Dronavia Kronos M4 parachute (EASA compliant class C5 conversion kit with integrated FTS) allows operation under standard scenario STS-01, including over populated areas or close to uninvolved people. The class is one condition among others: access to the scenario also depends on your operational declaration and on the remote pilot competency certificate.
