The Kronos M350 is the parachute recovery (PRS) and flight termination (FTS) system designed for the DJI Matrice 350 RTK, one of the most widely used professional drones for mapping, inspection, and civil security. The Kronos M350 incorporates a high-capacity parachute sized for the superior weight of the Matrice 350 and its payloads (LiDAR, thermal cameras, multi-spectral sensors). In the event of an incident, the FTS shuts down the engines and the parachute deploys in 0.27 seconds, ensuring the safety of people and property on the ground.

Installing the internal FTS

Installation of the internal circuit breaker system (FTS) in the DJI Matrice 350 RTK must be performed by a certified technician in an authorized workshop. Drone Parts Center has a workshop in Nivelles (Belgium) for this intervention. The drone can also be sent by parcel post (shipping costs on request or at your expense).

The DJI manufacturer’s warranty is preserved : if you need DJI after-sales service, simply disassemble the conversion kit before sending the drone for repair.

Maintenance and annual overhaul

The annual review is mandatory to maintain the conformity of the system and the validity of the certification. It includes:

• Full PRS and FTS Verification
• Deployment Testing
• Replacement of consumables (POD, 8g CO2 cartridge) if necessary
• Recertification for 12 months

Rearming after deployment requires an exchange of the Kronos M350 POD and an 8g CO2 cartridge.

What is the difference between the Kronos M350 and the systems for the Mavic range?
The Kronos M350 uses a high-capacity parachute sized for the higher weight of the Matrice 350 RTK (up to 6.2 kg with payload). The POD is specific (Kronos M350) and uses an 8g CO2 cartridge for deployment, unlike the POD Mini of Mavic systems.

Is the system compatible with DJI payloads (H20T, L2, etc.)?
Yes, the parachute is sized to support the maximum take-off weight of the Matrice 350 RTK, including official DJI payloads.

What is the range of the Klick remote control for the M350?
The Klick remote control of the Kronos M350 offers a range of up to 10 km, suitable for the long-range missions of the Matrice 350.

How does rearmament work after deployment?
The reset requires the exchange of the Kronos M350 POD and an 8g CO2 cartridge. The operation takes a few minutes. Replacement PODs and cartridges are available in our shop.

Can the annual inspection be carried out on site?
Yes, our workshop in Nivelles carries out annual revisions. You can also send us your drone by secure postal parcel.
