DJI Terra Standard Permanent: Drone Mapping Without a Subscription
The DJI Terra Standard Permanent (Offline) license provides unlimited access to DJI’s photogrammetry and mapping software. This one-time purchase eliminates recurring fees and ensures full operation without an internet connection. It is the ideal solution for professionals who handle sensitive data or work in isolated environments.
Unlike annual licenses, the permanent version is a long-term investment. Professional surveyors, engineers and drone operators have a future-proof tool for their aerial mapping and 3D modeling projects.
100% offline operation for maximum security
The Offline version of DJI Terra Standard works entirely without internet after activation. All processing and calculations are performed locally on your computer. No data is transmitted to the outside world, which guarantees total confidentiality of your projects.
Activation is carried out via a secure process with CodeMeter software and a license file exchanged offline. Updates are done manually by transfer from a connected computer. This architecture is ideal for regulated industries and secure environments.
Environments adapted to Offline mode
- Military sites and defense areas subject to network restrictions
- Sensitive industrial facilities (power plants, mine sites, critical infrastructure)
- Isolated areas without internet coverage (rural construction sites, mountainous areas)
- Organizations with strict data protection protocols
High-precision 2D and 3D photogrammetry
DJI Terra Standard generates real digital orthophotos (TDOMs), digital surface models (DSMs), and mesh 3D models from your aerial images. Optimized algorithms enable professional mapping standards, including 1:500 standards with RTK-enabled drones.
The results are exported in standard formats compatible with GIS and CAD software: TIFF for orthophotos, LAS for point clouds and OBJ for 3D models. This interoperability makes it easy to integrate into your existing workflows.
Available map deliverables
- Real Digital Orthophotos (TDOM) for Precision Mapping
- Digital Surface Models (DSMs) for Topographic Analysis
- Mesh 3D Models for Building and Infrastructure Reconstruction
- Dense point clouds for volumetric modeling
Built-in LiDAR processing
DJI Terra Standard supports data collected by DJI’s Zenmuse LiDAR sensors, including the Zenmuse L3. The software merges LiDAR data and visible-light images to simultaneously produce point clouds, 2D maps, and 3D mesh models.
A single acquisition with a Zenmuse LiDAR sensor is enough to generate all the deliverables needed for your surveying, inspection, or asset management projects. This deep integration between hardware and software greatly simplifies your workflow.
Multispectral Reconstruction for Precision Agriculture
Using multispectral data from the DJI Mavic 3 Multispectral, DJI Terra Standard produces NDVI and NDRE vegetation index maps. These analyses provide actionable insights into crop health and growth.
The software also supports radiometric correction and the creation of reflectance maps. These tools meet the needs of agronomists and agricultural remote sensing researchers who work on experimental plots or large-scale farms.
Compatibility with the DJI Enterprise ecosystem
DJI Terra Standard works with the leading drones and sensors in the DJI Enterprise lineup. Combined with the DJI Matrice 4E, Matrice 400, Zenmuse P1, Zenmuse L3 and D-RTK 3, it covers the needs of visible light mapping and professional LiDAR acquisition.
This hardware and software synergy eliminates compatibility issues between sensor and processing. You work in an integrated ecosystem, from data collection in the field to the final deliverable ready to operate.
Offline Permanent License: What You Need to Know
The perpetual license is tied to the hardware of the computer on which it is activated. A change in hardware component can invalidate the license. It is therefore important to install it on a stable workstation dedicated to data processing.
Starting with DJI Terra version 5.0.0, perpetual licenses receive free updates to new software versions. This ensures access to the latest enhancements at no extra cost. The permanent Standard license can also be upgraded to the Flagship version if your needs change.
Limitations of Offline Mode
Some features that require a connection are not available in offline mode. These are three main points to consider before your purchase.
- GEO zone unlocking is not accessible without a connection
- Loading background maps and location search does not work offline
- Some flight control functions are restricted without a connected DJI account
Technical requirements
- Operating system: Windows 10 or higher (64-bit)
- Memory: 32 GB RAM minimum (64 GB recommended)
- Graphics card: NVIDIA with 4 GB VRAM or higher (Shader Model 6.1 or higher)
- Recommended specs: NVIDIA RTX 2070 or higher for optimal processing
- CodeMeter software required for offline license activation
How to activate the DJI Terra Standard Offline license
Activating the offline permanent license takes place in four main steps. This process requires temporary access to the internet on a computer (not necessarily the one that will be linked to the license). Allow about 30 minutes for the entire procedure.
Step 1: Install DJI Terra and CodeMeter
Start by installing DJI Terra on the workstation that will be linked to the license. Next, go to the DJI Terra installation folder and then the CodeMeter > Installer subfolder. Launch the CodeMeterRuntime.exe file and follow the on-screen instructions until the installation is complete.
Step 2: Generate the license request (. WibuCmRaC)
In the DJI Terra installation folder, open the CodeMeter subfolder > LIF. Double-click the Terra_license file. WibuCmLIF to import the license model. A notification confirms the successful import. Then open the CodeMeter Control Center and follow these steps:
- Click on “License Update” in the CodeMeter interface
- Select “Create license request” and click “Next”
- Choose a save location and click “Commit”
- A . WibuCmRaC is generated: this is your license request
Important point: Do not modify the computer’s motherboard, processor, or hard drive after this step. Any material changes would invalidate the licence application.
Step 3: Redeem the activation code online
Access the DJI License Exchange Page (terra-license.djiservice.org) from any computer connected to the internet. Fill in your email address, the redemption code provided by Drone Parts Center and upload the . WibuCmRaC generated in the previous step. Select “First-time Exchange” as the exchange type, then click “Next”.
You will receive an authorization file in . WibuCmRaU in the following minutes. If the workstation linked to the license does not have access to the internet, transfer this file via USB key.
Step 4: Import the license and log in
Copy the . WibuCmRaU on the computer linked to the license (the one used in step 2). Double-click the file to automatically import it into CodeMeter. A notification confirms the successful activation. Launch DJI Terra and click “Offline Login” to access the full set of paid features.
If there is an activation problem
If DJI Terra displays the message “No permission to use”, check that your computer’s system time is correct. Open the CodeMeter Control Center, click on “WebAdmin” and compare the system time of the PC with that of the CodeMeter container. The acceptable deviation is less than 3 minutes. In case of difficulty, our technical team will assist you with the activation.
