This drone can be used both in manual flight with the DJI RC Pro Enterprise Remote Controller and in standalone mode with the DJI Dock 2. DJI Matrice 3TD Technical Specifications

Triple camera system

The DJI Matrice 3TD has a 48 MP wide-angle camera with a 1/1.32-inch CMOS sensor. This camera offers an aperture of f/1.7, which is ideal for low-light conditions. Its 24mm focal equivalent captures wide scenes with remarkable sharpness.

The TV camera has a 1/2-inch 12 MP CMOS sensor. With a focal equivalent of 162 mm, it enables secure remote inspections. In addition, the infrared camera offers a resolution of 640 x 512 pixels at 30 fps.

In UHR (Ultra High Resolution) mode, the thermal camera reaches 1280 x 1024 pixels. This advanced resolution is a major asset for the detection of fine thermal anomalies. The infrared digital zoom goes up to 28x for detailed observations.

Flight performance and robustness

The Matrice 3TD offers a maximum autonomy of 50 minutes in continuous flight. Hovering takes about 40 minutes. Its maximum flight distance reaches 43 km. In addition, its IP54 certification ensures resistance to dust and water splashes.

The obstacle detection system covers six directions simultaneously. The integrated RTK module guarantees centimeter (±3 cm) positioning accuracy. These features enable reliable and safe missions, whether in manual or automated flight.

Two modes of use: standalone and Dock 2

In standalone mode, the Matrice 3TD is manually controlled with the DJI RC Pro Enterprise. This configuration is ideal for one-off assignments, quick responses, and on-site inspections. The drone remains fully functional without the Dock 2.

In automated mode with the DJI Dock 2, the drone performs 24/7 operations without human intervention. Charging from 20% to 90% is done in just 32 minutes. The complete takeoff, including the propeller inspection, takes 45 seconds.

With DJI FlightHub 2, operators manage missions remotely. The software generates high-precision 3D models, offers a visual route editor and integrates the AI Spot-Check function for automatic comparisons between successive missions.
