Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to perform an offline update on DJI Assistant 2, on your DJI M300 RTK drone. It’s an important process that can help you exploit the full potential of your equipment. Here’s how to do it:
- Visit the M300 RTK dedicated page on the official DJI website: https://enterprise.dji.com/matrice-300/downloads. Here you can download version v57.00.01.00 of the firmware pack for offline updating.
- It is important to note that each drone must be connected to a computer individually for the update, as the DJI 2 Assistant does not allow multiple DJI devices to be updated simultaneously.
- Make sure you have a good Internet connection and that your DJI drone is powered with a battery level of at least 25%.
- To get started, launch the DJI 2 Assistant (version v2.1.9) and log in with your DJI account. An important point to note: the M300 RTK is not compatible with the Mac version, so you’ll need a computer running Windows.
- Once connected, locate the “Offline update” button on the left-hand side and click on it.
- From here, select the offline firmware package you downloaded in step 1 and click to update. This will automatically update your firmware.
- A message will appear to inform you that the update was successful. Congratulations, the firmware update is complete!
- Following the update, switch on your DJI RC Plus remote control, launch the DJI Pilot 2 application and select “MATRICE 300 RTK” on the home page to link your remote control to your M300 RTK.
- Once linked, go to the “Data and Privacy” option in the top left-hand corner of the DJI Pilot 2 home page. Here, choose “Clear DJI device log” > “Select device” > “Select device” (make sure NOT to select the remote control). Confirm your drone selection, then click on “Clear data from selected device”. Once the data has been deleted, you can use the RC Plus with your M300 RTK.
A final note: when using the M300 RTK + RC Plus combination for the first time, you’ll need to use this offline DJI Assistant 2 update. Once this initial update has been performed, subsequent updates to your M300 RTK + RC Plus combination can be performed via “Update all applications” / “Offline application update” / “DJI Assistant 2 firmware update”.
Finally, please note that if your M300 RTK is updated with a compatible firmware version that supports RC Plus, it will not
can no longer be associated or used with a Smart Controller. If you need to use the Smart Controller again, you will need to perform the offline update DJI Assistant 2 to update the firmware of your M300 RTK to version v07.00.01.00.
