Clean and integrated design
Inspire 3 is a professional camera drone with a fluid design that incorporates aerodynamic elements for better air resistance.
The maximum dive speed increased from 9 m/s on Inspire 2 to 10 m/s, while the vertical ascent/descent speed increased from 6 m/s and 4 m/s to 8 m/s (Maximum speed tested in a windless environment at sea level).
Powerful maneuverability allows for precise, responsive control and an extended flight time of 28 minutes (Measured in flight at a constant 36 km/hr in a windless sea level environment with the camera pod and lens attached to the camera and no other accessories until the battery reaches 0%. Data for reference only).
The design of the FPV camera, optical sensors, positioning antennas and storage card slot integrate perfectly with the aerial platform, giving it both a minimalist style and a modern industrial aesthetic.
In addition to the classic Inspire convertible configuration, the Inspire 3 model adopts an all-new design supporting 360° tilt and pano boost structures. In addition, when the landing gear is lowered, the pod allows for 80° upward shots (measured with the DL 50mm lens, the landing gear lowered and the aircraft hovering in a windless environment), allowing filmmakers to capture innovative and stunning images.

From the exterior design to the internal structure, every detail of the Inspire 3 has been carefully considered and optimized.
Spatial intelligence beyond the limits
Ultra-mobile precision flight system
RTK positioning to the nearest centimeter
Inspire 3 incorporates high-precision RTK positioning technology that is used in industries such as architecture and surveying for centimeter-level accuracy (if RTK is disabled, DJI Inspire 3 uses GNSS positioning by default). Unlike the traditional meter-based positioning supported by the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), RTK technology not only increases flight stability, but also the accuracy of flight route planning, for significantly enhanced creative efficiency.
RTK antennas have been integrated into the aerial platform using the new stacked ceramic design, supporting three types of GNSS (GPS, BeiDou and Galileo) and enabling dual-frequency positioning with centimeter accuracy. By activating an RTK network or installing a D-RTK 2 mobile station (sold separately), users can achieve ultra-accurate positioning without the need to install additional modules.
About the network and the RTK base station:
Custom RTK network | RTK base station |
Use the custom RTK network directly in areas covered by RTK. Simply enable Internet access on DJI RC Plus and connect to an NTRIP server to authorize Inspire 3 to receive complete data for fast and accurate positioning. | The RTK function can be used in environments without RTK network coverage, by installing a D-RTK 2 mobile station. In this case, Inspire 3 can receive all data from the mobile station for accurate positioning. |
Dual antenna orientation
The front and back of the Inspire 3 model incorporate a ceramic antenna on top of each other, providing exceptional anti-magnetic interference capability for increased accuracy and flight safety.
Waypoint Pro
Specifically designed for aerial cinematography, Waypoint Pro lets you plan flight routes and shots using a variety of custom settings. In addition, the new "Repeat Route" and "3D Travelling" modes make it easy to achieve an automated and innovative shooting experience. In addition, centimeter-accurate RTK positioning ensures more accurate planning and execution of flight routes. Whether you're flying solo or as part of a professional team, use Waypoint Pro to master the most complex scenes.
Repetitive routes
With the "Repeat Routes" feature, the aircraft automatically follows the same route and retains all preset parameters such as altitude, speed, pod angle and camera settings. Repeating the same flight mission allows filmmakers to effortlessly capture challenging single shots, or fly at different times to the same location to easily create long timelapse sequences capturing transitions such as day to night or from one season to another.
3D Travelling
3D Travelling can simulate a crane, cable cam or dolly on set, while going well beyond the limits of these devices. Once the flight route is planned, the director can manually control the camera to move back and forth along the route while adjusting parameters such as speed, gondola angle, etc. to meet the needs of the shoot. This makes complex, film-quality camera movements easier and more efficient for enhanced visual effects.
Spotlight Pro
Enhanced from Inspire 2, Spotlight Pro offers more shooting options for solo creators. Leveraging powerful machine learning algorithms, Inspire 3 supports automated recognition and locking of people, vehicles and boats with greater accuracy than its predecessor.
When using Spotlight Pro's Tracking mode, the camera and camera pod converge in the same direction and remain locked on the subject, allowing the pilot to get circular shots without manual framing adjustments.
Tracking mode | Free mode |
In Free mode, thanks to Inspire 3's 360° pano function, the camera pod can remain locked on a subject, while allowing a solo pilot to use the FPV camera to check his environment and control the flight path more quickly for easier realization of complex camera movements.
Omnidirectional detection system
Equipped with nine sensors, Inspire 3 has a robust omnidirectional detection system capable of detecting obstacles in all directions and ensuring optimal protection in flight(
The obstacle detection feature is disabled when the landing gear is extended or retracted. When the landing gear is lowered, you have a blind spot of approximately 20° at the front left and front right ends of the aircraft to avoid obstacles.)
For the first time, a fisheye camera has been added to each of the four landing arms. This all-new design prevents obstruction of the aerial platform when the landing gear is raised and detects horizontal obstacles when it is lowered.
360° horizontal optical sensors | Superior optical sensors | Lower optical sensors | Lower ToF sensor |
Customizable obstacle detection
In addition, Inspire 3 has a new customizable feature for increased flight safety and creative freedom. Horizontal, upward and downward obstacle detection can be independently turned on or off, and an obstacle alert range can be manually set to suit different scenarios (Custom braking range for obstacle avoidance: 2 to 10 m horizontally, 1 to 3 m upward and 1 m downward. Customized warning range for obstacle detection: 2.1 to 30 m horizontally, 1.1 to 10 m up and 1.1 to 10 m down).
If the active avoidance feature is disabled, the user can still view the distance to an obstacle in real time on the navigation screen and receive an audible alert when approaching an obstacle without the aircraft's automatic avoidance assistance. This feature opens up new possibilities for professional flight crews who want to use a more complex camera language.
Ultra-wide FPV night camera
Inspire 3 features a new 1/1.8-inch sensor FPV camera with a pixel size of 3 μm, an ultra-wide DFOV of 161° and live streaming capability up to 1080p/60 fps.
