DJI is a Chinese company created in 2006 by Frank Wang. It was born in Frank Wang's dormitory after he received a scholarship from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology to conduct research on UAVs. DJI is short for Dà-Jiäng Innovations (which means "great frontier innovation" in English). The drone is in the brand's DNA because the first products marketed were flight controllers for drones. Then, it was quite natural that UAVs started to be developed. Little by little, DJI has built its reputation and is now established as the largest UAV manufacturer in the world.
