ANAFI Ai is the first drone to use 4G as the main data link between the drone and the operator. 4G is revolutionising the use of UAVs. Users can now fly without transmission limits. The 4G connectivity of the ANAFI Ai drone allows precise control from any distance. It remains connected even behind obstacles, beyond the remote pilot's line of sight (Beyond Visual Line Of Sight).

ANAFI Ai includes for the first time a Secure Element in both the drone and its Skycontroller 4. The 4G link between the drone and the user's phone is encrypted. The Secure Element protects both the integrity of the software and the confidentiality of the transferred data.

4G connectivity

4G is profoundly changing the use cases for drones. With 4G, the data link between the drone and the pilot becomes robust in all circumstances. Many 4G operators offer a guaranteed quality of service for first responders such as firefighters and police.

The use of 4G does not require any subscription on the part of the ANAFI Ai drone, which works with all SIM cards associated with a data subscription. Parrot provides its users with a secure infrastructure that works with all smartphones.

Precise 48 MP imaging

The Quad Bayer sensor of the ANAFI Ai drone offers a dynamic range of 14 EV in HDR10 mode. It captures all details in both highlights and shadows.
Inspection professionals can use the 6x digital zoom to observe details from 1 cm to 75 m away.
The camera's unique -90° to +90° basket travel allows professionals to access complex viewpoints, such as the underside of a bridge deck.
The 6-axis hybrid image stabilisation (3 mechanical, 3 electronic) ensures sharp images even in winds of up to 12.7 m/s.
The P-Log format allows professionals to retain more information with raw files.

Autonomous photogrammetry

The design of the ANAFI Ai drone is inspired by nature. Its swivel head is equipped with an omnidirectional camera, which ensures precise obstacle avoidance, regardless of the direction of flight. When obstacles are detected, ANAFI Ai automatically determines the best trajectory to continue its mission.

On-board artificial intelligence enables the automatic execution of photogrammetry-specific flight plans. Professionals can generate optimised missions by simply designating a building in the 3D cadastral plan. This saves time and increases productivity.
The Quad Bayer 48 MP sensor of the ANAFI Ai UAV allows to obtain high precision 2D and 3D models. It offers the same accuracy as drones with a 1″ 20MP sensor, while flying 1.5 times higher. A GSD (Ground Sampling Distance) of 0.46 cm/px is achieved at an altitude of 30m. ANAFI Ai takes one photo per second, twice as fast as any other drone on the market.

The images from the ANAFI Ai UAV are compatible with all photogrammetry software suites. With PIX4D, the market leader in photogrammetry, Parrot has taken integration even further. During the flight, ANAFI Ai transfers the images directly to the PIX4Dcloud servers. Processing begins as soon as the aircraft lands: professionals gain in productivity by avoiding the time-consuming phase of manual data transfer.
