St\u00e9phane Tilmant, Operations Manager at Drone Parts Center, has just obtained trainer certification for the DJI Advanced GEO Products Training Services program. He becomes the first DJI GEO certified trainer in the Benelux.<\/p>\n<p>In practical terms, St\u00e9phane can now train and certify Drone Parts Center clients on this program himself. He supervises the sessions, conducts the practical and theoretical assessments, and sees his trainees receive an official DJI certificate upon success.<\/p>\n<p>As of 28 August 2026, Drone Parts Center is the only reseller listed for this program in the Benelux. Other resellers in the region may obtain this certification in the future: DJI is building its European network of certified resellers through a strict selection process.<\/p>\n<p>This announcement builds on our existing training activity. Our Nivelles workshop is already DJI certified, and we have been offering a FlightHub 2 training led by a DJI certified trainer for several months. The GEO program strengthens this offering, with the level of rigor and supervision specific to an official DJI Enterprise program.<\/p>\n<h2>What is the DJI Advanced GEO Products Training Services program<\/h2>\n<p>The program name can be confusing. In the surveying and mapping industry, GEO stands for Geospatial: it refers to anything related to geographic information and spatial data tied to a territory. It has nothing to do with geolocation or geofencing.<\/p>\n<p>DJI Advanced GEO Products Training Services is an official DJI Enterprise training program, currently launched in Europe only. It is designed directly by DJI engineers, with the quality control expected of an official program, and delivered exclusively by a select network of certified resellers in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>The goal goes beyond simply getting to grips with a drone. The program guides users from knowing how to fly to knowing how to deliver a complete project: from mission planning to the final deliverable, including data quality control and processing.<\/p>\n<p>This approach sets the GEO program apart from generic online courses: supervision takes place in person, and every trainee goes through quality control and a final assessment before obtaining their certificate.<\/p>\n<h2>How the certification journey works<\/h2>\n<p>The journey follows six steps, identical for all certified resellers in Europe:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Registration request with a GEO certified reseller, such as Drone Parts Center.<\/li>\n<li>Online self-paced training on the DJI portal: geodesy, photogrammetry, LiDAR fundamentals, and hands-on familiarization with the relevant products.<\/li>\n<li>Intensive in-person training, one to two days, combining fieldwork and data processing.<\/li>\n<li>Practical assessment, in the field and in the office, completed by a theoretical exam.<\/li>\n<li>Issuance of an official DJI certificate upon success.<\/li>\n<li>Continuing education: five years of access to the training portal, with content updated as products evolve.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Two courses available at launch<\/h2>\n<p>The program starts with two courses. More will follow, according to DJI:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Matrice 4E<\/strong>: advanced photogrammetry, Smart 3D Capture, corridor, area and smart oblique missions, close-range flight, D-RTK 3 base station deployment, modeling with DJI Terra, editing with DJI Modify and GIS analysis.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Zenmuse L3<\/strong>: LiDAR fundamentals, sensor operating techniques, acquisition design, complex missions, RTK and PPK operations, point cloud classification, editing and reconstruction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Both courses also cover the broader ecosystem of the program: Matrice 400, D-RTK 3, DJI Terra, DJI Modify, DJI Manifold 3 and certain third-party software.<\/p>\n<h2>Who this program is for<\/h2>\n<p>The GEO program targets several professions that already use, or are considering using, a DJI Enterprise drone in their activity: surveyors and topography and mapping professionals, engineering firms in construction and civil engineering (site monitoring, BIM), forest managers, power grid managers, heritage specialists and transportation engineers.<\/p>\n<p>No prior surveying background is required to register. Nor does the program replace the remote pilot certificate: one covers legal and safe flight, the other professional expertise and deliverables.
