Drone cleaning is revolutionizing the maintenance of roofs and facades<\/strong> for professional cleaning companies. But what equipment should you choose in 2026, when the professional drone market is undergoing a major transformation? <\/p>\n\n The DJI Matrice 350 RTK has been the go-to platform for drone cleaning operations for years. With its load capacity of 2.7 kg and IP45 protection rating, it allowed third-party spray kits to be carried for defoaming, anti-moss treatment and cleaning of solar panels. Many cleaning companies have built their business around this robust and proven platform. <\/p>\n\n DJI has ended production of the Matrice 350 RTK.<\/strong> Its successor, the Matrice 400<\/a>, is a heavy inspection drone (6 kg payload, Zenmuse H30\/L2\/P1) designed for mapping, industrial inspection and geodesy \u2014 not for spraying. For companies that used to use the M350 RTK with a sprayer kit, the question of replacement is now acute. <\/p>\n\n The Matrice 400 is an exceptional drone for inspection and mapping. However, Drone Parts Center has chosen not to offer it for cleaning operations<\/strong> yet for a specific regulatory reason: there is currently no CE class C5 marking kit on the market<\/strong> to operate the Matrice 400 in standard STS-01<\/strong> scenario (flights in populated areas with a drone with a mass of more than 4 kg). <\/p>\n\n Without C5 certification, each operation in a specific category requires an individual SORA authorization \u2014 a long and expensive procedure, incompatible with recurring cleaning projects. Drone Parts Center is closely monitoring the evolution of the C5 kit market and will offer the Matrice 400 as soon as a compliant solution is available. <\/p>\n\n In the meantime, for cleaning and spraying missions, the solution exists \u2014 and it’s better than a Matrice equipped with a third-party kit.<\/p>\n\n Unlike the Matrice 350 which was an “adapted” inspection drone with a sprayer kit, the Aquila 3 PUL-V<\/strong> (developed by Skyinnov<\/a>) is designed from the outset for professional spraying.
