The Osmo Mobile 6 is a smartphone stabilizer from DJI. It is packed with features, including 3-axis stabilization, a portable and foldable design, an integrated extension rod, quick launch, ActiveTrack 5.0, easy tutorials and one-click assembly, and a magnetic quick-release design.
In the box, you'll find the Osmo Mobile 6, a DJI OM Magnetic Phone Clamp 3, a grip tripod, a power cable and a storage pouch.
Compared with its predecessor, the DJI OM 5, the Osmo Mobile 6 features several improvements in terms of appearance and functionality. It includes a new status panel to view the stabilizer's current mode, a new axis lock to secure the stabilizer for storage, a new side wheel to control zoom and focus, and an improved joystick. Functional enhancements include a magnetic alignment detection function, improved ActiveTrack for stable tracking at longer distances, a quick-launch function for faster use, more intuitive operation with the M button and status panel, and an improved Magnetic Phone Clamp for more secure attachment of large phones.
The Osmo Mobile 6 is compatible with most smartphones on the market, recommended for use with smartphones 67-84 mm wide, 6.9-10 mm thick and weighing 170-290 g. The stabilizer's magnetic force is 47.5 Newtons, enough to hold two 2-liter soda bottles, ensuring that smartphones are securely attached. There's no need to balance it before use, and it can be used with a phone shell.
The Osmo Mobile 6's integrated extension rod can be smoothly extended up to 215 mm, allowing a wider view and low-angle recording without the need to bend over. The Osmo Mobile 6's ActiveTrack 5.0 is an improvement on ActiveTrack 4.0, offering more stable tracking at greater distances and supporting the front camera to track the subject's profile and rotational movement.
The camera also comes with DJI's LightCut application, which offers intuitive shooting and editing functions, shooting templates for a range of scenarios and a one-click editing function for automatic template recommendations based on your clips.
